Youth.Voice.Influence: Portland Social Norms Project engages two targeted communities to prevent underage drinking, and empowers teens to develop and execute a related media campaign that can be replicated in other areas of the county. SCENE, or Students Creating Entertainment for Neighborhood Empowerment, is a summer 2010 project in which teens in east Portland produce documentary films that promote positive community change.

SCENE involves youth, Oregon Partnership, Oregon High Intensity Drug
Trafficking Areas, the Portland Police Bureau’s East Precinct, Free Arts NW
and Portland Community Media. _.

Prescription Drug Abuse:_.
CARSA and Oregon Partnership have identified the growing problem of prescription drug abuse as a key issue. CARSA is working on several fronts, including having helped coordinate a highly successful statewide Prescription Drug Turn-In Day this past March, during which a record amount of prescription drugs were collected at 30 sites._.

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is an impassioned group of teen leaders from diverse backgrounds who collaborate to help guide Oregon Partnership and CARSA.

YAC members play an important role in Above the Influence (ATI), helping drive and affect media coverage locally for this national
campaign. Through ATI, teens serve as activists and social-change
agents, helping increase youth, school and neighborhood involvement
