History
In 1993, three non-profit organizations identified a common need: helping communities across the state prevent substance abuse. Together, they formed the Oregon Partnership. In almost two decades of reaching out to Oregon communities, free and confidential prevention education and treatment referral services continue to be the hallmark of our tradition.
Oregon Partnership is unique in that we combine treatment referrals and prevention in one organization. Our oldest program, our 24-hour crisis lines, are staffed seven days a week, and our trained operators offer immediate assistance to those with concerns regarding substance abuse, not only for themselves, but for friends and family members.
From our beginnings more than 13 years ago, we have been in the forefront of prevention efforts throughout the state of Oregon. We team with coalitions, statewide, to raise public awareness of the dangers of alcohol and other drugs, especially to our young people; and we have developed a national reputation for creative and innovative campaigns to keep the general public, our public officials, and our business community informed about the harms of substance abuse and what to do about it. |
