Laura Mersereau

Laura's Story

Once upon a time there was a vibrant young woman named Laura Mersereau. Her older brother Brad fondly remembers her as a freckle-faced and ginger-haired high school senior with an open smile. After her senior year Laura tried her first hit of LSD. The experiment had terrible consequences: Laura drank and kept drinking until six months before her death in 1999. She was 46 when she died of a perforated gastric ulcer, a complication caused by decades of drug and alcohol abuse.

In the spirit of Laura, Brad has created this Award.

You may visit Brad's website www.bradmersereau.com to take the pledge for a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle.
